ENGLAND captain John Terry and his fiancee Toni Poole will be
married this summer, we can reveal today.
The Chelsea star and his childhood sweetheart have named a day in
June but avoided the 16th, when three England teammates will also
be tying the knot.
John, 26, and Toni, 24, are said to be "over the moon" and looking
forward to a lavish ?00,000 celebration.
In a summer of love for the England squad, Gary Neville, 31, Steven
Gerrard, 26, and Michael Carrick, 25, are all getting hitched on
June 16.
A friend close to John said: "Toni has told him she wants a grand
wedding with the works.
"He wants some teammates to be there so he decided to avoid June
16.
"Save-the-date cards went out last week to family and friends and
invites will follow.
"Everyone has been told to keep the venue close to their
chest."
The couple will hold their reception at a stately home close to
their ?.5million mansion in Oxshott, Surrey.
Toni suspended her career as a beautician to become a full-time mum
after the birth of twins Georgie John and Summer Rose last May. The
friend added: "Toni helps keep John's feet on the ground. They are
real childhood sweethearts.
"Their love is so strong. They're a great couple and so excited
about the wedding."
A spokesman for John said: "Yes, they are getting married in the
summer."
